Not feeling like running but still want to help out? Sign up to volunteer. Help out at an aid station, at the finish line or during registration. We offer donations to groups and organizations who help us spread the good word of Go Girl!

Half Marathon

DESCRIPTION

Are you ready for 13.1 miles of awesomeness? The Go Girl Run Half Marathon distance is the premier distance of the Go Girl Run. Congrats on thinking about signing up for the half. The Columbia Half Marathon is the perfect course for first timers and experienced runners. You will experience a few rolling hills, otherwise it’s flat and scenic! The race takes you on a tour through picturesque areas of downtown Columbia and past the University of Missouri. The Half Marathon is sanctioned through USATF.

AID STATIONS

There will be Aid Stations every 1.5-2 miles. Each Aid Station will include Water, Light Nutrition and minor first aid. If you are requiring specific nourishment, please plan to bring your own hydration and nutrition. Five Aid Stations will have portable toilets.

VIEW HALF MARATHON MAP

5K

DESCRIPTION:

Not quite ready to make that jump to the half or looking for a nice warm up to the racing season? The 3.1 mile 5K distance is the perfect option for those go girl’s new to running or just want to shake out the cob webs. The 5K starts and finishes right in downtown Columbia and traverses primarily through scenic areas of Columbia. The course is relatively flat and perfect fore newbies! The 5K is sanctioned through USATF.

AID STATIONS:

There will be 1 Aid Station on the 5K Course. Each Aid Station will include Powerade, Hammer Gels and minor first aid. If you are requiring specific nourishment, please plan to bring your own hydration and nutrition. There will be a porta john available.

Awards Information

RACE CATEGORIES

Half Marathon & 5K Run Female Individual Age Group Award Categories: 5-Year Increments (14 and Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over)

AWARD INFORMATION

  • Awards will be presented to the Top Female Half Marathon and 5K Champions
  • Awards will also be presented to the Top Four in each Age Group Division
  • Awards will be presented to the Top Three 2-Person Half Marathon Relay Teams
  • Be sure to stick around after the race for the award ceremony. If you receive an award, you’ll be required to be present at the ceremony. We will not be shipping awards in 2019!

Timing Information

  • MyLaps Bib Tag Timing System – Disposable chips will be placed on your bib when you come to packet pickup. Please follow the simple instructions on the packet carefully. Not wearing the bib properly may prevent you from being timed.
  • Bibs are non-transferable – be careful not to switch with other participants.
  • You must wear your bib at all times or you will not be scored in the event.
  • You may keep your bib following the race or throw it away.

Pacers

To help you stay on pace and get through the finish line strong, we will have Go Girl Pacers presented by Ultramax Sports to assist in accomplishing your running goals. We will have pacers in the following time categories: 1:45, 2:00, 2:10, 2:20, 2:30, 2:45
Pacers will be at the starting line Sunday at 6:15AM wearing a Go Girl singlet and pacer sign. Email amanda@ultramaxsports.com if you would like to be a pacer.
